Supporting you through NHS Winter Pressures

The NHS is preparing earlier than ever to tackle the increasing stress of winter pressures, the escalating reduced capacity, and growing backlog of care.

The government recently announced a £200 million investment to boost resilience this winter, with an extra £40 million to improve hospital discharge.

Alleviating pressures on the NHS

As a trusted NHS partner and ‘Outstanding’ rated care provider by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Thornbury Community Services works collaboratively with hospitals, integrated care systems (ICBs) and care providers nationwide to accelerate the care transitions of children and adults from acute hospital settings to the community.

With our team of specialist nurses and highly skilled healthcare assistants (HCAs) delivering 14,000 hours of bespoke community care weekly, we remove the pressures away, enabling you to have long-term strategic conversations with families and focus on achieving NHS priorities.

Our integrated care plans are tailored to meet the needs of each client and undergo robust clinical risk management from our highly skilled team on an ongoing basis.

Our Rapid Discharge Service

Working in partnership with our sister company, Pulse Nursing at Home (part of Acacium Group), we created our Rapid Discharge Service that focuses on accelerating individual’s transitions from acute hospital settings back into the community. We focus on getting people back into their own homes quickly and safely, empowering them to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

This was the case for Kaso, a young man living with an acquired brain injury. The hospital where Kaso was staying were down to its last two ICU beds, and TCS needed to build a bespoke and robust care plan with a highly skilled and dedicated care team in 72 hours; to get Kaso home in time to celebrate his 15th birthday with his family.

Watch Kaso’s successful journey with TCS in the video below or enquire today to see how we can support you through winter pressures.
