Our recruitment process

At TCS we are committed to providing the best complex care in the community and we need the best nurses and healthcare assistants to do that. We understand that starting a new role can sometimes feel a little confusing, so we ensure that you receive our support and guidance through every stage of the process.

Following your application, you’ll start your TCS journey with our team, who will talk to you about your skills and experience, assess your suitability for our current packages of care and explain the next steps of our recruitment process. 

Interview

With the introduction of HireVue, our online interviewing platform, we have made our recruitment process as quick and easy as possible, so that our nurses and healthcare assistants can get out to work faster. This gives you the flexibility to interview at a time and in a place that is convenient for you, in under 30 minutes. You can even stop the interview between questions and return to it later using the link in your email invitation.

Once you have submitted your online interview, it will be evaluated by our registered nurse interviewer  and you will be contacted with our feedback. If successful, you will progress to the next stage of our recruitment process which includes your background checks and compliance.

Background checks

After successfully passing your online interview, you will be contacted by your dedicated recruitment co-ordinator who will talk you through our online background check process. This process includes Right to Work, DBS, address documents and National Insurance checks. You will be asked to upload all your documentation to our secure platform for verification.

Recruitment compliance

It is essential that we ensure all our nurses are confident and competent before starting their roles, as such you will be asked to complete or evidence the below:

• Occupational health questionnaire
• Additional compliance documentation
• Evidence of your core skills training
• Undertake a clinical skills assessment review
• References checks

Finally, you will receive your TCS welcome pack in the post and you are ready to start work as part of the TCS team.
